August 12, 2014 Meeting Notes
The theme of the meeting was “Hometown.”  Mary Jo was our Presiding Officer. There were 13 people at the meeting including  our newest member, Himani!

Speaking Tip:  Christine encouraged the club to work towards Distinguished Status by next June. 
Ron was our Ah-Counter and provided the Word of the Day: abode, in keeping with the theme of the meeting.
Waye’s speech, was a career Ice Breaker.  Wayne was recently laid off from his position and is looking for a new role.
Liz offered excellent advice and suggestions about “suicide proofing” your young adult.
Grace related an epic story about her family’s rescue of their neighbors on the Little Sandy River in Nebraska back in the 1950s.
