Our guest speaker will Nathan Ohren, the meeting will be run similar to a contest. We will have a Toastmaster, Judge, Vote counter, Timer and several people evaluating Nathan’s speech. You don’t have to evaluate if you show up, so come to the meeting and listen to the different styles people use when evaluating a speech.
We are scheduling some special meetings in the coming weeks. The purpose is to focus on specific types of speeches, and practice those speeches.  In addition, we would like to identify someone that is interested and available to represent Mission Chapter at the upcoming multi-club speech contest on Saturday, September 26.

September 8 – The focus will be on humorous speeches. Cindy will present a speech about things to consider for humorous speeches, and Ron will present a humorous speech.

September 15 – The meeting will be an “all humor” meeting. We are hoping that members will be inspired by the previous week’s presentations and will present their own humorous speech to the club. Again, we will have a panel of evaluators that will determine the Best Humorous Speech.
