May 10th, 2016 Meeting NotesThe theme of the meeting was “Teenagers”. Mary Jo was the presiding officer, there were 11 people at the meeting.

Toastmaster: Jen

Speakers:

Jon gave his ice breaker speech, “My Path to Desert Storm,” telling us about his entry into the military, a move that was relatively routine until August 1989 when Jon found himself in Saudi Arabia after Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait. 

Cindy’s speech, “Who’s Who in Mission Chapter,” described the various officer roles and who holds them, as well as the meeting functionary roles.  

Kristina related how a traumatic health incident changed her approach to life in “The Best Laid Plans.” Kristina reminded us how quickly our lives can change, and to remember not to let our life decisions be driven by the fear of a negative outcome.
